Classic vs. Hybrid

Classic — 100% classic lashes

• 1 classic eyelash extension is placed onto every healthy, single, isolated eyelash.
• Best for clients with healthy natural lashes who want length and definition without added fullness.
• You can see every gap in someone's lash line if the client doesn't have a full, dense natural lash line.
• Uses classic lash widths .10, .12, .15. Thicker diameters (.20–.25) are rarely used today because they can overload natural lashes.

Hybrid — 50% classic + 50% 2–5D fans

• Hybrid lashes combine two techniques: 50% classic extensions and 50% volume fans (2–5D).
• Great for someone looking for a light set who might have gaps in their natural eyelashes — the small fans fill those gaps in.

Volume vs. Mega Volume

Volume — one fan per lash

• A single fan is placed on every healthy, isolated natural eyelash.
• Fans run anywhere between 2–10D. (10D+ fans are considered mega.)
• Uses tray widths of .05.
• If someone has a lot of natural eyelashes, .05s will appear like a dense mega volume set — create smaller fans to keep the set out of mega territory.

Mega Volume — maximum drama

• A single mega volume fan is placed on every healthy, isolated natural eyelash.
• Fans are 10D–20D+.
• Great for someone looking for a dramatic look or a lash strip look.
• Uses widths of .03 or .02.
• The more natural eyelashes the client has, the fuller their mega volume set will look.

• Soft & fluffy → Hybrid
• Full glam → Volume
